B & A: Office Chair

I can’t believe we’re already on to our second ever furniture reveal, but since we’re sharing all of the office details before the actual reveal, we wanted to share our newly completed office chair!

We started out with this old black and silver conference room chair that had been long forgotten about in the back of our families shop.

UPDATE: We posted a tutorial on how to achieve this look here!

Furniture Before's

After painting the frame, reupholstering the seat and top (with added batting for our back and buns), adding some tufting with homemade fabric buttons and reassembling it all, here’s our finished product!

Recognize that fabric? It was originally a fabric shower curtain purchased for $15 and also shows up in our office in the form of a curtain… and we still have material left!

Although this chair will be used at our desk, we had some fun playing dress-up with it to show her off! Here’s an up close and personal to show the fabric and details as well.

Office chair, plain

We’re super excited to have a new chair for less than $20 and for our office to be coming together. Only one more project post until the reveal : )

Here’s the before and after for comparison!

What do you think? We’re happy to have reused a piece of furniture that would have been collecting dust for many more years before it was eventually tossed, and of course, to finally have a place to sit!

Prost!

This is just GORGEOUS! Would LOVE to see the back and have a tutorial on how you did the upholstery. Our current kitchen chairs are old office/conference room chairs (wood and blue vinyl) that could totally use this kind of update! 🙂 Thanks!

Wow- I would have never thought that those chairs could be redeemed in any possible way but with white and cute fabric you have actually managed to make it cute! Seriously amazing. Thanks so much for sharing it with as at the Get Your DIY On Challenge: Furniture Transformations! Hope to have you come back!!
