No doctors visit required! Buh-dum-ch. We couldn’t resist. But instead of the gutter that our mind is in, we’re talking about a little update to our memory wall! While we were away this summer on our east-coast-RV-trip, I picked up a rolled up “treasure map” for $2 from a local store but it’s been sitting in our closet rolled up ever since. With our new found memory wall featuring fun little items from our travels, we decided that it would be perfect hung up as an addition to the gallery.
So, I went to IKEA and picked up a white Virserum frame and started de-crinkling our map.
5 minutes and one nail later, she was up!
I’m still debating whether to add a little name tag like the other frames, but so far we love how our gallery wall is growing!
Also, since the paper was rolled up for so long, the crinkle was not fully flattened after a few days of sitting under heavy books. I actually ended up loving the look since it makes it look old and weathered, just like a pirates map should be. Not that I’ve ever seen one.
And that’s our little update for today! Tomorrow we will be back with a little halloween decor craft, that is unless we find some buried treasure and hop on a
pirate ship cruise around the world.
