Hello everyone! It’s day 4 of our fabulous Halloween Bash blog hop and we couldn’t be more happy that you’re here with us today! We’re contributing to over 110 fun ideas and hope you find a project (or 10!) that inspires you! Thanks for joining us in this fun Halloween project adventure- Here’s our project!
We decided to see what we could use around the house to make the project budget friendly, and I stumbled (literally, like almost fell on it in the basement- glad no one was watching!) on this plastic pumpkin.
I’m sure we all own at least one- right? Well, our front porch has been needing a little pick-me-up, so I thought this might just work. Step one- make the horrible bright green go away.
Aka- spray paint it : ) I used two different colors, aged copper first to completely cover it, then a few light sprays of champagne mist to brighten it up.
Next I moved onto a little sign to add in our house numbers. A scrap block of wood and some more spray paint, followed up by some craft paint and a small brush to fill in the numbers.
I added a bouquet of flowers, glued the house number block onto a small post, and called it done! Simple and inexpensive for anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time to spend, but wants to add a little decoration for Halloween. Here it is all put together on our porch : )
Our outside space could use some work, but that we’re saving for next year : ) In the meantime, a few fun splashes like this are doing the trick! Hope you like this quick and easy project!

I love this idea, the sprayed pumpkin is beautiful! It would make a gorgeous centerpiece too! Without the address number of course. 🙂
Thanks Kara! That’s a great idea! Haha yes the numbers are probably not be necessary at that point, but maybe a cute phrase or word might work instead : ) Hope you have a fabulous day!
