I love all of the bunting trends that are going around lately and Christmas seemed like the perfect time to have some fun with them! Here are two very simple versions for last minute decorating : )
First up, a little scrap fabric bunting! I used leftover gray (actually a shower curtain! from our headboard and ikea chair project), red from an old costume and green quilting fabric. If it was Christmas colored, it worked!
All of the scraps got cut up into 3″x12″ rectangles, and after that it’s as easy as making those knots. You may even become the captain of tying knots after this. If you know where that is from then we may be best friends : )
We used our favorite sisal rope and the project took maybe 15 minutes including cutting.
This guy is currently hanging on the mirror in our entryway and I love the pop of color it brings!
Next up is a simple pennant banner made from two different colored doilies found at the dollar store.
We used the same sisal rope, measured out how long we needed the banner to be, spaced out the doilies and went to town with some ribbon.
A few minutes later we had a simple pennant banner perfect for the window mirrors in our living room.
And that’s a wrap on our easy Christmas bunting decor for this year! What’s your favorite holiday decor this year? Making any bunting or pennant banners in your home? I love the look of all of these on a tree as well and how they can fit any color scheme! Make sure to keep following along this week for more holiday fun : )

Loved the Christmas doily banner. Inspired me for Valentine’s Day so I made one very similar. Thanks for the inspiration.
