While putting our house together for this week’s holiday home tour hop (check back in a couple of days for all of the details!) I was playing around with just about everything we own that’s either Christmasy or neutral and came up with a fun little centerpiece idea for the holidays!
It may look like a tornado hit the rest of the house now, but I’m a fan of the centerpiece so it was worth it : P We had two old wood hockey sticks that I picked up a year or two ago from a thrift shop and by adding a piece of scrap wood to the top, it reminded me of a sled, hence the strange blog title : ) I added some greenery from our tree, candle holders and a few small accessories and this is how it turned out!
What do you think? Do you see the sled? I’ve been collecting these mercury glass candle holders for our wedding and loved being able to break them out early! Oh and that “runner”? Shh. It’s a shower curtain : ) I just loved the fabric and the West Elm clearance sticker sucked me in! I’m not sure if I’ll ever use it as an actual shower curtain, but it’s one of my favorite ways to pick up fabric on the cheap!
Hope to see you back later this week for our full holiday tour! Be sure to sign up to get all of our posts delivered straight to your inbox so you don’t miss a thing : )
