Holiday Home Tour 2015

Farmhouse-Style

Welcome to this year’s holiday house tour! This year I’ve teamed up with a fun group of bloggers who have some amazing farmhouse style tours for you. After you’ve taken a peek at our decor, be sure to grab your drink of choice and check each and every one of them out!

This year I was attracted to lots of neutral colors with subtle pops of red for our home, and played with a lot of items that I already had on hand. When you first walk in, our entry table is all dressed up with some of my favorite things- lanterns, candles and coffee table books.

Our dining room also got decked out for the holidays with the fun version of a centerpiece we shared earlier this week!

We kept things simple in the kitchen, and just added a little bit of greenery that was clipped from the bottom of the tree. I love how amazing it smells every time you walk past it!

Last but not least is our family room! I put together the easiest scrap wood tree by grabbing all of the trim that was already cut at an angle, painted them white, and glued them to a small piece of left over shiplap. The rope and ornaments got wrapped around until I was happy with the placement, and a D-hook was screwed into the back for easy hanging.

We kept the tree simple this year with metallic bulbs and ribbon, and have been fighting the battle with our furry friend Deke to keep the ribbon and bulbs on every single day. Good thing he’s cute : ) A few more lanterns and the softest faux fur tree skirt ever finished up our look!

We ended up moving the mirrored windows into this room recently as well and I love how the Christmas lights reflect off of them! We may have a big blank wall now in our living room, but I’m excited to fill it with another project we’ve been mulling around lately : )

And that officially wraps up our holiday tour this year! We hope you found something you loved, and you check out all of the other amazing tours below!

Beautiful home tour, ladies! I love your Christmas tree, and the wall art is so fun, too! I think I may have to copy it – hope you don’t mind!
