And just like that it’s week 2!
This spring ORC we are tackling our laundry room/mud room space and we shared all of the before photos and plans in last weeks post. Be sure to check it out here if you’d like to start at the beginning!
This week we’re going to keep it short and sweet since we’re moving full steam ahead on the project and are excited about where it’s headed!
Since last week, we’ve emptied out just about everything from the room, have gotten most of the paint done, and finished installing the cabinets. This basically leaves us with a great blank slate!
No more green! The washer and dryer are going to get a counter added to the top, which should majorly upgrade the space by making them look more built in, and provide an easy folding space. I’m still figuring out the best way to hide all of the cords and wall hook ups, but those will be tucked away and out of sight before this project is over!
The far wall has both an empty space as well as the door to the garage. We’re playing around with a few ideas for the large wall, but I think we’ve finally made up our mind and I can’t wait to share more in the next week or two! We’re determined to make this space work as a mud room as well, despite how narrow the room is.
The door is screaming for a little pop of color to me, so we’re testing out some paint colors and will probably pull from the runner that just arrived – we love it!
Next week we’ll be back with an update on the floors and the new runner, and maybe some trim if we’re lucky 🙂 Before you go, be sure to check out the designers and all of the guest participants sharing their spaces this round!
Wow, your progress is amazing! It already looks so different from where you started! Loving it all!
