Last week we shared our big kitchen reveal after months and months of hard work and waiting for shipments, but there was a big part of the kitchen we left for last – the breakfast nook!
Here’s a little before shot from when we moved in to show the space.

We LOVED all of the windows, and the wetlands behind us made for the prettiest view. The rest of it however, needed a little love.
When we sold the home we lived in before this, we also sold the dining table that had been custom built for that room. So, we were officially table less and went on the hunt! I had loved the idea of a round table but M wasn’t so into the idea, until we stumbled across this beauty from Pottery Barn on sale.
It was love at first sight!
We paired it’s weathered wood loveliness with the white Ikea chairs we already owned, and into the kitchen nook it went.
Next up was lighting.

We ended up continuing the lantern look across multiple rooms with coordinating black light fixtures (like this one!), and I loved how statement making they were, without feeling heavy or blocking any of the window views.
This one we didn’t have to search too far and wide for. I had fallen in love with a few light fixtures before we had even gotten the keys, and may or may not have ordered them before we even closed. Luckily there was 0 jinxing involved 🙂
A little paint to match the rest of the kitchen (BM Gray Tint) and a few accessories, and our nook was looking much better!

One thing we constantly went back and forth between was adding window treatments and leaving them wide open and unobstructed, and you can see what won out in the end!
And that officially wraps up the crazy kitchen journey! Now that we’ve handed the keys on this baby over to it’s new owners, we’re on to the next kitchen overhaul 🙂
