This was one of my favorite rooms we wrapped up at our last home, and today we’re showing the final reveal pictures! If you’d like any other details, we shared the DIY square farmhouse table and how we removed the wainscoting over the last few posts, but today’s all about the pretty pictures.

Ta-da! As you may know, we moved out of this house in a hurry to chase my husbands career goals, and in doing so had to wrap up projects like this in our home quickly and on a budget. Regardless, I’m really happy with how this room came together with the bright walls and accents within the rug and ceiling choices. The only thing I’m sad about? We had plans to put a huge built-in into that inset nook (no idea why it’s there in the first place, other than to host a huge china cabinet) that was going to be fabulous. At least in my head 🙂

Instead, my grandma’s buffet took it’s place, and you really can’t beat family pieces so it was a great fill in piece!

Originally, I also had black taller chairs set in my head, but every time we tried to look for an affordable option, they were out of stock! We already had white chairs in the kitchen, so we had wanted to switch them up for this room. I was so bummed, but ended up taking a chance on these white smaller versions. In the end, I think they work just as good with the table and rug!

We picked up those fun botanical prints while visiting Waco at The Findery. We literally had to buy a whole second luggage just to get them home, but they were completely worth it in my opinion, just don’t ask M what his thoughts are 😛Â

And that’s a wrap on the dining room! A few changes from the original plans with the chairs and nook, but overall I’m so happy with how it turned out, and the table is still in the home with the new owners. Hopefully collecting lots of new family memories 🙂Â
