It’s the last week of the One Room Challenge before all of the reveal pictures! Normally, at this point we’re SCRAMBLING like no other. But, for the very first time in the history of the ORC (and we’ve done A LOT of them) I’m feeling pretty good! And that’s somehow with going on vacation and keeping an infant alive. Both of which are important 🙂 Let’s check out what we got done this week, shall we?
First up, our floating bench was added to the little reading nook!

It was such an easy project, and I shared all about it on my Instagram stories lately! I’ll do a full post later, but for now she’s looking good! I have the foam and material all ready to go to sew the cushion for the top, and have a whole pile of pillows to try out for it on top. Last but not least is the sconce that’s going to go on the back wall for a little reading light!

I’m also on the hunt for new baskets for underneath the bench, but played around with what we had for now!
Next up was putting all of the furniture in the space. And here’s where Homepop comes in!
*This part of the post is sponsored. I was provided free product for this challenge but only team up with brands that I love and think our readers might as well!
As you may or may not know, we moved a couple of months ago and were lucky enough to have movers come in and take care of all of the furniture. Unfortunately, most of it ended up damaged when we unloaded. Duke’s rocker had two big holes in the front of it, and needs to be replaced. So, when Homepop reached out and asked if we’d like to use some of their furniture in our space, it was the absolute best timing and we were pumped to give our little guy a new chair and stool to go with his new room!

Isn’t it pretty? We chose the gray Monroe accent chair and paired it with the plaid mid century footstool. And, we absolutely love it! The chair is a great size and comfortable, and I love how the plaid plays into the vintage theme we’re going with. Even Kuma is a fan!
Homepop furniture is available on multiple sites included Target, Overstock, Wayfair and more, and we’re so happy to have found such a fun chair that’s perfect for the space!

I’m also loving this gold drum table we picked up from Target, but unfortunately this particular one was delivered with a huge dent in the back. Cross your fingers we can get it swapped out in time!

Oh, and when I say Kuma loves the chair, I mean she REALLY loves it. Like she thinks that we got her a new fabulous bed.
As for the rest of the furniture, the crib and dresser are both set into place.

We also added a little picture ledge into the moulding, which will hold some fun art that’s on it’s way!
And I think that’s enough excitement for this week! We have lighting (ceiling and a new lamp), some paint touch ups, and to put the “vintage” and “sports” part of our vintage sports nursery into the design left. Minor details (ha!) but we’re excited about how far this room has come, and can’t wait to share everything once it’s all jacked up as Randy would say next week! See you right here!
Before you go, make sure to check out all of the week 5 amazingness over on the One Room Challenge blog! As always, it’s SO good!
