Last time we popped in here on the blog we chatted all about the design inspiration for our half bath, and today we’re sharing the progress so far!
If you missed the original mood board, there’s a quick post here to catch up!
We decided to keep the vanity and paint it out in Magnolia Home’s Weekend chalk paint. It still needs some touchups, but I love the pop of color! It’s a fun moody teal color that’s dark enough to be fun but not overpowering.

The countertop is still up for debate – Hopefully we’ll have an update on that soon and then we can install the new faucet!
This past weekend I also installed this new wallpaper – It was a steal from Home Depot and comes prepasted (my fav kind of wallpaper!). There are a few ways you can hang it, but I generally cut it to size with a few inches of excess, use a paint roller with water to activate the paste, and hang it up! As long as your first row is level, the rest of it should follow suit 🙂

Overall I’m so happy with the direction this space is heading in! Between this room and the office, I feel like we’re setting the tone for the design for the rest of the house. That’s such a relief after having tons and tons of ideas but having a hard time narrowing it down 🙂

The last few items to finish are the vanity touch ups, countertop, vertical wood planks and some art! Slow and steady wins the race, or so I’m saying right now since this has been a slow project ha. We’re gearing up for our One Room Challenge space shortly, so this room will most likely get finished after that. Stay tuned for the final reveal and we’d love for you to come back and follow along with the ORC!
