WE MADE IT! Week 6. The big master bedroom reveal. The part where we can all sit back, pretend all of the neighboring rooms to our project aren’t a disaster from working like crazy people over the last five weeks and have a glass of wine to celebrate. Except for I’m pregnant, so hot cocoa it is 🙂
Over the last few weeks, we’ve talked design, we’ve talked progress, more progress, and a little bit more progress, and then final game plan. But if you’re more into the before and afters, all of that good stuff is below!
Here’s where we started.

Just so… brown.
My husband M and I usually tackle every other room in the house, and ours always gets pushed to the back burner. But, not this home! With a new little one on the way we’re so excited to have a more peaceful space to catch what little Z’s we can. We had a few different rooms we were deciding between tackling, but I am SO glad we prioritized us for a change 🙂
Here’s the design that we originally pulled together for the space.

And the best part, the reveal photos!
Drumroll please… here’s how the final product turned out!

And, the part that I am most excited about, the fireplace! It’s an electric insert that we added into a DIY bump out and then wrapped in tongue and groove planks. It adds a touch of cozy to the space and is just in time for the crazy midwest winters.
I wanted to keep it clean and simple so no mantle or art for now, but I can’t promise a wreath won’t make it’s way up there when we start decorating for the holidays soon 🙂

And because I can’t ever decide on final photos, here are a bunch more for fun!

Most things we picked up at outlets, Homegoods, Wayfair and from “shopping” our home making this a super budget friendly makeover, but sources for everything I can link in the master bedroom are below!

Jodie, I’m so glad we met through the ORC! I love how you reinvented your space on a budget. The fireplace is such a great statement, and I love the media console (I’ve been eyeing it myself)! Great work girl! 🙂 Caitlin @CaitlinMarieDesign

Wow — I love this room so much! Just the paint made a huge difference, but the art, accessories, bedding and fireplace send it over the top. Well done! Pinning this immediately.
