Whoop whoop it’s week two! Last week we chatted all about our One Room Challenge design plans and before photos of our son’s nursery. This week, it’s all about progress.
Remember that wallpaper from our design plan? Well. it’s up! We decided to go for a taller board and batten below it, so only covered the top 2′ of the 8′ wall with the paper.

I started out by removing all of the existing molding, cutting tons of strips of wallpaper at 25″, and then hung away! The extra inch helped cover any goofy variation in the ceiling line. I didn’t worry about the bottom line because the molding was going to cover it, so the whole process went pretty smoothly!

This week we’re going to be starting on the molding, but we started dreaming up paint colors as well.

I mayyyy have gone overboard with the samples I grabbed, but I think we finally have it narrowed down and may even have a winner! I wanted a light beige with gray undertones, something that would bring out the best tones of the paper, so it’s been a bit of a challenge.

A short but sweet post this week, because we’re ready to get rolling on that trim and time is ticking 🙂 Be sure to check out all of the amazing progress over on the ORC page before you go!
